MORE ABOUT ME
I have more than 25 years of experience delivering top-notch public relations and communications results across Canada’s private, federal public, and non-profit sectors. My career includes nearly two decades leading communications teams at the federal level, over six years in a fast-paced PR agency, and now three+ years as an independent consultant. I'm known for being strategic, collaborative, and effective (as well as a decent cook). You can take it from me, but I invite you to read the recommendations on my LinkedIn profile.

A proud member of the International Association of Business Communicators, I provide highly strategic communications advice, develop solid plans, and produce excellent communications products. Since founding Hayden Public Relations in early 2021, a few projects have included, for example: producing parliamentary submissions for different sectors, including culture and industry; leading marketing efforts for a healthcare AI start-up and linguistics firm; and developing various public education resources for different regulatory bodies. I have ghost-written countless articles, blog posts, and presentations, conducted environmental scanning on various issues, crafted strategic plans and priorities for national organizations, written annual reports, and created PR and media relations products for public announcements. Additionally, with two decades of leadership experience, I regularly mentor communications, marketing and privacy professionals, helping them achieve their fullest potential.

As a bilingual, independent PR consultant, I manage large, multi-dimensional projects and I am also happy to assist clients with smaller tasks when needed. I am proud to support a select group of clients whose missions I deeply believe in, offering services that deliver great value and impact.

In addition to the array of services I offer through Hayden Public Relations, I am also an experienced privacy consultant. I conduct privacy impact assessments (PIAs), GAPP analyses (against the generally accepted privacy principles), draft privacy notices, policies, breach reports, privacy protocols, and personal information banks (PIBs). Some of the privacy compliance work is done as a consultant with nNovation LLP, where I also lead the firm's communications and marketing.

My clients appreciate the real difference my work makes in achieving their broader goals, valuing my strategic thinking, approach, leadership, and the support I provide to their teams.
